Need Powerful, Award Winning Documentation?

Swarthmore College came to us last year and said, We have all of this material — and we need powerful documentation. Can you help?

Swarthmore College’s Pew-funded initiative: Friends, Peace and Sanctuary — brought together artists and members of Philadelphia’s Iraqi and Syrian refugee communities to express personal narratives of displacement, immigration, and sanctuary through artists’ books.

With two years of information and visuals, Swarthmore wanted us to create meaningful, engaging, sharable documentation for their project.

We synthesized. We maximized. We even won awards.

Learn more about how we designed this book for members of the refugee community to be seen, heard, and to have a voice. It reflects issues of displacement and immigration by melding two books into one — revealing itself, page by page, like an exploration. This project embodies our three pillars of collaboration.

We are incredibly honored to announce that among 696 entries from 36 countries, GDLOFT took home TWO awards from AIGA’s 50 Books | 50 Covers competition for Swarthmore College’s Friends, Peace and Sanctuary Book.
