I know what it’s like in-house — when you need to make big things happen. That’s why GDLOFT exists.

Hi, I’m Kevin Kernan. Positive-impact organizations have so much to offer.

The hard part? People only have so much time and attention. You want their eyes, hearts and minds on your offerings: the initiatives that are truly capable of making a difference in their lives! At GDLOFT, we live and breathe this — fostering these genuine connections — so you can compete visually with the oversaturated media in the world and sleep easy at night, knowing your message is shared and your mission is maximized. We want you to enjoy incredible relationships with your audience — and we hope to give you an equally incredible experience of working together when you partner with us.

Let’s talk about what’s possible.

Our Team

Kevin Kernan

Principal, Managing Director

Working in-house at Philadelphia City Paper, handling marketing for private schools like William Penn Charter, and serving as Senior Designer at Drexel gave Kevin a decade of experience on the inside. Marketing to hundreds of thousands of prospective students, developing welcome packages that worked, cutting through red tape, and designing print, web and direct mail that fueled record applications were just some of the skills Kevin brought to GDLOFT in 2005. Since then, he’s been helping nonprofits, higher education and cultural institutions achieve their goals through graphic design and branding that rises above the noise.

With a BA graphic design from Rutgers University-Camden, and a master’s degree in Arts Administration from Drexel University, Kevin’s work has been published and acknowledged by AIGA, GDUSA, UCDA, Telly Awards, Creative Quarterly, Print Magazine, and TED.

Allan Espiritu

Principal, Creative Director

Allan Espiritu, founder of GDLOFT PHL, is a Philadelphia-based, award-winning graphic designer and educator. Espiritu received his BA in graphic design from Rutgers University-Camden and his MFA in graphic design from the Yale University School of Art. Espiritu’s work has been published and acknowledged by AIGA, GDUSA, UCDA, Graphis, Communication Arts, Print Magazine, HOW, STEP, Applied Arts, and Art Directors Club. GDLOFT’s work has also appeared in Gestalten Princeton Architectural Press, PIE Press, and Rockport publications. Espiritu heads the Graphic Design concentration program at Rutgers University-Camden.
