You Could Be

Providing conceptualization of text and visuals, GDLOFT designed this brochure and mailer for Rutgers-Newark's student housing program. The slogan "You Could Be" evokes the idea that commuting students "could be" optimizing their time if they did not have to travel long distances to attend their classes. The visuals suggest the alternative activities in which students could engage if they lived on campus rather than commuted. Also central to this design is the idea of planning, which is depicted by the various phrases that appear in casual, handwritten typefaces suggestive of calendar or agenda entries, and which are also suggestive of possible activities alternative to commuting.
