Visions of Place

Print

The Visions of Place catalog coincides with the traveling Visions of Place show highlighting the work of contemporary Israeli artists. The gallery show moves to various venues between the US and Israel. Conceptually, the show centers on defining “place” and territory—and the shifting issues and perspectives connected to these ideas.

The logo we designed shifts in emphasis between English and Hebrew. The “x” incorporated within the logo is visual metaphor for “place”. In motion, the logo fluidly shift between the two languages.

We extended this idea to the catalog employing a shifting “x” grid through out the catalog— to connect back to the essence of the exhibition. On some pages, we exposes the vertex of the grid. The placement of text, images and folio emphasize this “shifting” grid.
