AIGA
AIGA Philly Design Awards
GDLOFT designed this catalog for the AIGA Philadelphia’s Design Awards Competition. GDLOFT focused on representing all designs, for winners or non-winners, as well as creating a book to serve as “art” within the context of a gallery for the winners exhibition. The catalog print-run was limited to the same amount of entries received (which was 576) to represent all the work of the design community. Using a variable printing program, each cover is a different color of a predetermined spectrum. In other words, each cover was a slightly different shade of color from the one previous and the one that follows. The color scheme follows ROYGBIV; thus, making each catalog entirely unique, with no two pieces identical. In addition, each catalog was individually numbered. When all catalogs are stacked together the spines create a seamless spectrum of color that produces the quality of a sculpture.
