Effacing Boundaries: Recent Work by Rutgers–Camden Department of Fine Arts Faculty

The Stedman Gallery, 2011

Catalog: 4.5″ x 8″ cut, 18″ x 24″ uncut / unfolded

The catalog for the Rutgers–Camden art exhibition Effacing Boundaries reflects the exhibition’s theme by “effacing the boundaries” that distinguish a poster from a brochure. GDLOFT designed the catalog so that the viewer must rip the boundaries of the pages in order to turn them. The product becomes a twenty-four-page catalog when all of the boundaries are torn. The viewer has the option to turn the catalog into a poster by removing its staples, thereby “effacing” the brochure.
