Muhlenberg College
Paper Architecture Exhibition Catalog
GDLOFT designed this exhibition catalog for the Muhlenberg College art show Paper Architecture, which was held at the college’s Martin Art Gallery. The show’s purpose was to give viewers an experience to consider the blurring of boundaries and compare the relationship between two visual media platforms, drawing and sculpture.

Serving as a functional catalog and as a work included in the show, the catalog is 8” x 10” and features a grid layout of multiple kiss cuts on the cover. When peeled back, the cuts reveal an orange background. Viewers were encouraged to peel their catalogs and create unlimited design combinations. GDLOFT signed 200 catalogs and folded the kiss cuts on their covers into various shapes and patterns to create unique works of art.

Viewers were given the opportunity to become artists and immerse themselves into the exhibition through their own creativity by creating their own covers. After having been designed by the viewer, the catalog became more personal, something the viewer will cherish.
